(Raleigh, NC November 11, 2021Carolina Community Impact (CCI), a North Carolina-based community development financial institution, has added Jennifer Simpson, the  CFO of HyperSpectral APD, a HealthTech company, as the newest member of its board of directors. The organization’s current board has five members, all of whom have made significant contributions and regional impacts in the finance, education, health care, business, and government relations industries.

“We are delighted to add Jennifer Simpson to our board,” said Mike Croxson, CCI’s chief executive officer. “Her diverse experience and track record helping businesses succeed and grow to align perfectly with our mission and our services. CCI must continue to build our staff and board with professionals whose principal commitment is to ensure underserved entrepreneurs and their businesses have access to innovative business tools, education, and financing that will enable them to thrive.  Jennifer will be a great addition in this regard.”

I am looking forward to serving with my fellow board members”.

Carolina Community Impact is strategically increasing its team and board member size to support current initiatives, including its newly launched Central Carolina Kiva Hub, cost-free online learning platform, and other developments that the organization will announce in 2022.
