CCI Expands Board of Directors

Community development financial institution Carolina Community Impact (CCI), based in Raleigh, NC, welcomes Tim Catlett, CEO of Progressive Business Solutions, to its board of directors.
With the addition of Catlett, CCI continues to grow its entire board of dedicated professionals specializing in business, finance, education, and other leading industries. “Tim Catlett is an exceptional addition to our board both as a successful business leader and as someone truly interested in supporting small and underserved businesses obtain access to capital, business coaching, and other resources that are so important for early-stage companies’ success,” says Mike Croson, CEO of Carolina Community Impact. “He will push us like he pushes himself to be increasingly involved in the community and to find ways to drive success for small business owners. “

Catlett, who founded Progressive Business Solutions in 1988, has over 30 years of experience in business and sales. His family-owned company provides an array of services–printing, marketing and branding, warehousing and fulfillment, janitorial, office, and safety supplies– as the premier go-to for business solutions across various industries in the Southeastern region.

Catlett’s passion and advocacy for minority-owned businesses support his role as CCI’s latest board member. “My biggest goal is to make an impact,” shared Cartlett of his recent partnership. “I was once part of the minority organizations like CCI that help businesses. So, I want to help minority small businesses understand what it takes to run a company due to my successes, failures, and errors. I hope I can give people insight on how to be successful.”

Catlett, originally from Virginia, grew up in Baltimore, MD, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Johnson C. Smith University. He currently resides in Raleigh with his wife Sonya and three adult children.
