CCI – Team Interview- Karrigan Sapp

Karigan Sapp is bringing her wealth of experience and passion to Carolina Community Impact (CCI). As one of our dedicated team members, Karigan’s dedication to community development is backed by her academic achievements and unwavering advocacy for North Carolina’s small business ecosystem.

A Virginia Beach native, Karigan currently lives in Raleigh, NC and received all of her academic experience from North Carolina higher education institutions. With an associate’s degree in Science from Cape Fear Community College (2020) and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (2022), her academic achievements further demonstrate and propel her commitment to making a difference. “My academic background has provided me with a unique perspective on understanding people’s needs and motivations, which is invaluable in my role at CCI,” Karigan shares.

Prior to joining our team, Karigan worked at a private school as a Client Service Specialist, where she developed a strong client network and guided the school with implementing effective and efficient organizational practices.  “Helping small businesses streamline their operations and improve their financial policies has been incredibly rewarding. It’s all about making a tangible impact,” Karigan says.

Her fervor for small businesses is matched with the same enthusiasm she has for the environment and appreciating nature. She enjoys skiing, white-water rafting and running.  “Being active in nature is not just a hobby for me; it’s a way to connect with and appreciate the environment I care so deeply about,” Karigan explains.

Karigan’s experience and genuine interest in the areas of client and community support align her with CCI’s mission. We are thrilled to add her to our multi-talented team of professionals and further strengthen and expand CCI’s capability to serve NC small businesses. “I am proud to be part of an organization that genuinely cares about the success of small businesses and the well-being of our community,” Karigan states.
