At Carolina Community Impact, we take pride in supporting passionate entrepreneurs who bring both vision and value to their communities. One of those entrepreneurs is Tyler Williams, founder of Pure Tide, a promising water purification company based in Surf City, North Carolina.
Originally from Fuquay Varina, Tyler took a bold leap by relocating his family to Surf City and betting on his dream of becoming a business owner. With a deep desire to create something meaningful and sustainable, he and his wife made a shared decision that it was time to take the leap. The Surf City community welcomed them with open arms, and many have already committed to supporting him on his journey to success.
When Tyler approached CCI, he came fully prepared. His credit was excellent, his financials were solid, and he had every document in place to begin the process of securing a Community Advantage Loan. From the beginning, it was clear he had done his homework and was serious about laying the groundwork for long-term success.
As part of the closing process, our team had the opportunity to visit the facility that would soon become home to Pure Tide. There, Tyler is launching a subscription-based water purification service, delivering clean, purified water to households and local businesses in Surf City and neighboring areas. In addition to providing high-quality water, Tyler is also making an environmental impact. By helping reduce the use of plastic bottles, his business supports sustainability and responsible stewardship of the local environment.
Tyler has a clear and ambitious vision. While his long-term goal is to expand into the Wilmington and Brunswick County markets, his current focus is building a strong and viable presence in Surf City. He has actively engaged with CCI’s Technical Assistance team, showing both a willingness to learn and the discipline to apply new ideas. He is also looking toward the future by exploring ways to integrate AI into his business operations, understanding the importance of technology in the evolving small business landscape.
